Never go for the ones that publicize with flashy and attractive advertisements. Before filing or submitting any document consult a learned lawyer in the respective field. All the documents must be duly verified and the title should be clear.  Make sure that your hard earned money is being invested in a property that has a rising resale value.

 
If you are planning to buy an apartment where you can move as soon as you buy it, and then choose the location aptly. The apartment must be away from the main traffic street and it must be developed. That is, it should have commercial complex, hospital, school etc. in the vicinity. There must be open space for fresh air and greenery. The sewage system and the electricity and the water supply must be adequate.

For buying any real estate you can add a foreclosure for any of your property to your documents when seeking loan. The property has to be immovable. In this case the equitable rights of redemption are transferred to the mortgagee through a court order. It is done only on papers for security purpose. In case one is not able to pay the loan the bank or the company that is the lender can get his/her money back by auctioning the property.
It is not much a problem to buy a real estate in America. But just make sure you are investing after taking due care.
